Engineered class pulleys are manufactured in our state of the art pulley manufacturing facility. Production facilities include Plate Rolling, Profiling, Machining, Line-boring, Sub-arc Welding, Stress Relieving, Sand Blasting, Static Balancing and Painting.
Powerful pulley verification software based on FEA and strain-gauge analysis is utilised to give the most cost effective solution. Further stress analysis at specific locations can be done using either PSTRESS (by CDI) or MODFEA, a LORBRAND developed FEA modelling programme which performs batch FEA analysis. All this results in pulleys with minimised stress values in critical areas.Programme driven production and inspection schedules are produced from approved drawings.
Our pulley manufacturing facility is ISO 9001:2008 accredited. Data books are available for all manufactured pulleys.
Pulley types manufactured include conventional pulleys (drive, tail, bend, snub), slatted pulleys (self-cleaning), internal bearing pulleys (static shaft) and apron feeder drive shaft assemblies. A range of standard shaft locking elements are offered to suit requirements and we are also able to supply shrink fit shafts for special applications.
