Engineered class pulleys are manufactured in our state of the art pulley manufacturing facility. In-house production facilities include Plate Rolling, Profiling, Machining, Line-boring, Sub-arc Welding, Stress Relieving, Sand Blasting, Static Balancing and Painting.
In order to give our clients a customised solution to their pulley needs, Lorbrand’s design capability includes the use of detailed Finite Element Analyses (FEA) using ANSYS software as well as the ability and equipment to perform physical testing and measurement by means of strain and temperature sensors. These tools are used to offer our clients the most cost-effective solutions that are tailored to their specific needs.
Our pulley manufacturing facility is ISO 9001:2008 accredited which ensures that all our products are of the highest quality. A complete databook is generated for each pulley Lorbrand manufactures. This databook includes the original design info, material certificates, inspection reports, test data, approved drawings and any other information pertinent to the specific project or pulley.
Lorbrand offers customised products which include conventional pulleys (drive, tail, bend, snub), slatted pulleys (self-cleaning), internal bearing pulleys (static shaft) and apron feeder drive shaft assemblies. A range of standard shaft locking elements are offered to suit requirements and we are also able to supply shrink fit shafts for special applications
